Second Opinion

Not sure you're on the right track?

Sometimes you just need a fresh set of eyes.

Maybe you’ve been told you need surgery and you’re not convinced. Maybe your injury hasn’t improved despite months of treatment. Or maybe you’ve been seeing a chiropractor or osteopath and you want to know what a physiotherapist thinks.

Whatever the reason, you’re welcome to request a second opinion from our team. Fill in your details below, tell us a bit about what’s going on, and one of our senior physiotherapists will call you back to have a chat.

There’s no obligation. No pressure. Just an honest conversation about your options.

Request a callback

Fill in your details and give us a brief summary of your situation. Include things like your diagnosis (if you have one), how long you’ve been dealing with the issue, and what treatment you’ve had so far. The more we know upfront, the more useful the conversation will be.

When should you get a second opinion

When it makes sense to get another perspective

There’s no wrong time to ask for a second opinion. But here are some of the more common situations we see:

You’ve been told you need surgery. A surgeon’s recommendation carries weight, and sometimes surgery is the right call. But for many musculoskeletal conditions, physiotherapy can be just as effective. It’s worth knowing all your options before you commit to an operation.

Your injury isn’t getting better. If you’ve been in treatment for weeks or months and you’re not seeing progress, something might need to change. A different assessment can uncover missed items the first time around or confirm that your current plan just needs more time.

You’ve received conflicting advice. One practitioner says rest. Another says exercise. Your GP says something different again. When the advice doesn’t align, a second opinion can help you cut through the noise and find a clear path forward.

You’ve been seeing a chiropractor or osteopath. There’s overlap between these professions, but they approach things differently. If you want a physiotherapist’s perspective on your condition, or you feel like your current approach isn’t addressing the root cause, we can take a look.

You just want peace of mind. You don’t need a dramatic reason. If something doesn’t feel right, or you want confirmation that your treatment plan is solid, that’s reason enough.

Common questions about second opinions

Is getting a second opinion disloyal to my current practitioner?

Not at all. Any good health professional will support your right to seek another perspective. It’s your body and your health, and getting more information before making a decision is a smart move.

What happens during a second opinion consultation?

One of our senior physiotherapists will review your situation, ask questions about your history and symptoms, and give you their honest assessment. If we can help, we’ll tell you how. If we think your current treatment is on the right track, we’ll tell you that too.

Can I get a second opinion over the phone or video?

The initial callback is a phone conversation to understand your situation. If a full consultation is needed, we’d recommend coming into one of our clinics so we can do a proper physical assessment. Hands-on examination picks up things that a phone call or video can’t.

What if the second opinion disagrees with my current treatment?

We’ll explain what we’ve found and why our view might differ. Ultimately, the decision is yours. We’re here to give you the information you need to make a confident choice, not to pressure you either way.

Do I need a referral?

No. You don’t need a referral to see a physiotherapist in Australia. You can book directly or request a callback through this page.
